SALINA TOWN HALL – SALINA, NEW YORK
Interior Designer partnering with the Architect for new improvements in the interior design of the town hall and courtroom of a total of 43,000 square feet. The scope of work includes development of an interior design presentation, concept, materials, finishes, furniture, space planning and acoustical solutions and designs for the space.
The courtroom includes two conference rooms, a spectator area, a witness stand and judge’s bench. In addition, the entire town hall includes all clerical offices, tax offices, meeting rooms, restrooms amongst other spaces.
Assignments included interior design lead, construction documentation and drafting. In addition, create an interior design concept, space layout, color scheme, interior finishes, floor finishes, selection and coordination of all furniture including fabrics, other materials and applying them to architecture construction set document. This included but not limited to architecture, interior design, full mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural coordination, client design changes, revisions and submission to the city and construction administration.
INTERIOR DESIGN CONCEPT – Color Weave
Color Weave elements use wood millwork and benches, light wood tones with medium-dark to contrast. A color scheme of muted, conservative tones such as greys and browns was used with hints of either red due to its psychological meaning of pride and strength, or orange for its sense of wellness, energy and warmth.
